Finally, a sleep guide written for the baby who notices everything.
Most baby sleep advice starts with the method.
This guide starts with the baby.
£20 at launch from 1st August. £27 from 1st September.
You know you have a sensitive baby when...
If you're reading this and thinking, that's my baby... you're in the right place.
Understanding the baby you actually have
Some babies really do experience the world differently. They take in more. They often need a little longer to settle into new places, new people and, quite often, sleep.
That isn't something you've caused. It isn't something you've accidentally created. It's temperament.
Psychologists Thomas and Chess first described these differences decades ago. Some children are simply more sensitive to what's happening around them than others. Neither is better. They're simply different.
When you understand the baby you actually have, so much of what felt confusing starts to make sense. Instead of wondering why nothing works, you begin to understand why your baby responds the way they do.
Introducing
The Sensitive Baby Sleep Companion
The Companion is built around your baby's temperament, not a generic routine that assumes every child is the same.
It isn't a programme. It isn't sleep training in a softer outfit.
It's a guide that helps you understand the little person in front of you, so you can make sleep decisions with more confidence and a lot less second-guessing.
Your baby doesn't need to become someone else. They need advice that actually fits who they are.
What's inside
At the heart of the Companion are 32 real-life scenarios based on the situations parents of sensitive babies find themselves in every day. Rather than reading cover to cover, you find the situation you're in and go straight to the section that applies.
A temperament self-assessment
So you can understand the baby in front of you rather than the one parenting books assume you have.
A sensory seeker and sensory avoider assessment
Because sensitive babies don't all experience the world the same way.
A practical guide to the nine temperament traits
Helping you turn the theory into something you can actually use at bedtime.
The aim isn't to change your baby. It's to help you understand them.
Is this for you?
This guide is for you if...
Your baby feels everything intensely and mainstream sleep advice has never quite fitted. If you feed to sleep, hold your baby for naps, or simply respond to what they need without believing any of those things have to be fixed.
If you'd rather understand why something is happening than follow another routine that doesn't fit your child.
This probably isn't for you if...
You're looking for a cry-it-out method, or want someone to promise your baby will sleep through the night by next week.
Created by Catherine
For more than 30 years I've worked alongside families with young children, alongside raising four children of my own.
Again and again I've watched exhausted parents blame themselves because the advice they'd been given simply didn't fit the child in front of them.
This guide grew out of those conversations. Because sensitive babies deserve sleep advice written with them in mind too.
Questions you might have
Is this sleep training?
No. There are no crying-it-out techniques, no leaving your baby to self-settle, and nothing that asks you to ignore your instincts. The Companion is about understanding your baby's temperament, not changing their behaviour through distance.
What age is it for?
The guide is built around temperament rather than a particular age or stage, so you'll find it just as useful in the newborn months as you will when you're in the toddler sleep stage.
Will this work if we feed to sleep?
Yes. The Companion never treats feeding to sleep as a bad habit. It recognises it as one of many perfectly normal ways babies seek comfort and connection.
How will I receive it?
This is a digital guide, delivered by email. As this is a presale, delivery timings will be confirmed when you purchase.
There are plenty of sleep guides written for the average baby.
This is the one written for yours.
