"We've been burned with sleep support previously which had been packaged as gentle and wasn't. But the approach taken with The Parent Rock is a breath of fresh air. Attachment-focused and evidence-based.
We only needed easy simple tweaks to change everything for us. Sleep went from a 2.5 hour battle and driving to sleep, to a toddler pointing to his bed and asleep in no time.

Catherine took the time and asked lots of questions about us and our routine and suggested a few changes we could make and within a week of putting these into practice we had gone from 6 or more wakings a night to 2 or 3.
Though we have blips where she reverts back to waking more often, we now have the tools to get back on track, and it's honestly made such an amazing difference.

“I am a first time mum and have been in the absolute trenches of sleep deprivation since Christmas, when my then 9 week old baby decided to wake up every single hour throughout the night. This went on for around 3 months until myself and my partner were honestly in tears with stress and exhaustion.
I contacted Catherine who offered me to book in a free 15 minute video call with her. Catherine listened to our situation with care and compassion and offered advice; which in our case was to make a few tweaks to daytime nap routines and cap my boys last nap before bedtime, in order to build up sleep pressure.
I’m not even kidding….from that first night and beyond, he has slept AMAZINGLY well. Only waking up 1-2 times max a night and so easy to get back down when he does.

“I had been struggling with getting my 14 month old daughter to sleep independently in her own room and stumbled across Catherine (The Parent Rock) on Facebook. I had my first zoom call and came away feeling as though I had found someone who understood and shared the same gentle approach I would want to use for my daughter who is highly sensitive.
Catherine helped me create a plan and suggested small changes to help first of all build those foundations towards independent sleep from what we as her parents thought would suit her. We were able to message daily and update as to how we were getting on.

"As a dad, I can finally put our baby down for naps in her cot"
“We approached Catherine for help, primarily, with reducing the number of times our baby has us up during the night. On average, we were dealing with four or five wakes every night, and were keen to reduce this before the end of my wife’s maternity leave. I (Dad) also needed help with setting the baby down for daytime naps in her cot, as I could only get her to nap either in the pram or via a contact nap.
The results have been brilliant. During our Zoom consultations Catherine listened carefully to our problems and gave detailed advice on changes to our daily schedule that would help our baby to achieve the sleep we needed. Catherine then backed this up with daily WhatsApp conversations, whereby we messaged her with an update each morning and she advised on how to approach the day ahead.
She gave us clear instructions, useful advice that helped to adjust our mindsets when it comes to our baby’s sleep and - perhaps most importantly! – made us feel that we weren’t going mad. As any parent with a sleepless child will know, it’s so easy to wonder what you’re doing wrong, and Catherine helped put those thoughts to bed.
We’re now down to two wakes a night (sometimes one), and as a bonus I have been able to put our baby down for naps in her cot with no issues.

“Working with Catherine has been a wonderful experience. Catherine really took the time to get to know our family and understand our baby's personality. We were struggling with frequent night wakes and a lot of unpredictability around naps and bedtime.
Catherine suggested a few simple tweaks to begin with and within the first week we already saw some movements in the right direction. Our daughter then unfortunately caught a cold which threw sleep off and Catherine very kindly offered to pause things until she was well again which we so appreciated.
By the end of the two weeks we were seeing longer stretches at night, more predictability and easier bedtimes. Our daughter even managed to sleep 9.5 hours straight one night recently which was unimaginable before!
I have been able to continue feeding to sleep and there was no expectation to do anything resembling sleep training at all.”
